Pianist Heejung Ju is renowned for her active and diverse career as a chamber musician and collaborative pianist. With a solid foundation as a solo pianist, she honed her skills at esteemed institutions including Yewon, Seoul Arts High School, and Ewha Womans University in Korea. During her time in Korea, she showcased her exceptional talent by performing with the Seoul National Symphony as a winner of multiple competitions. Additionally, she frequently collaborated with esteemed faculty from Ewha Womans University in captivating concerts.
Throughout her musical journey, Ms. Ju has had the privilege of participating in instrumental master classes led by distinguished artists such as Glenn Dicterow, Cynthia Phelps, Wenzel Fuchs, Yehuda Gilad, Emmanuel Pahud, Ralph Kirshbaum, and Clive Greensmith. Her dedication to collaboration has led her to work with a wide range of orchestras and choirs, enriching her musical experiences. To further expand her expertise, Ms. Ju pursued studies in Keyboard Collaborative Arts under the guidance of Dr. Alan Smith at the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music. Her commitment to excellence led her to successfully earn both a Master of Music (MM) and Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree.
Currently, Ms. Ju serves as an adjunct faculty member at Biola University, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for music to aspiring students. Additionally, she works as a staff pianist at Colburn School and USC, showcasing her exceptional skills and versatility in collaborative performances. Through her unwavering dedication and exceptional artistry, Heejung Ju continues to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression as a remarkable pianist and collaborative musician.
